Overview
Effective January 1, 2006, Chapter 176 of the Texas Government Code, requires that any person, agent of a person or employee of an entity acting in the employee’s official capacity (hereafter referred to as vendors) who contracts or seeks to contract for the sale or purchase of property, goods or services with Mt. Enterprise ISD is required to file a Conflict of Interest Questionnaire with the district. Each covered person or entity that either seeks to contract or contracts with Mt. Enterprise ISD is responsible for complying with any applicable disclosure requirements. The completed questionnaires are posted on this website.The Conflict of Interest Questionnaire (Form CIQ) must be filed in accordance with LGC 176: (portions of which are quoted below)
- No later than the seventh business day after the date that the Vendor begins contract discussions or negotiations with the government entity, or submits to the local governmental entity an application, response to a request for proposals or bids, correspondence, or another writing related to a potential agreement with the local governmental entity.
- The Vendor shall file an updated completed questionnaire with the appropriate records administrator not later than September 1 of the year in which an activity described in Section 176.006(a), Local Government Code, is pending, and not later than the seventh business day after the date of an event that would make a statement in the questionnaire incomplete or inaccurate.
